How To Plan The Best Romantic Getaway
With breathtaking views, incredible dining options and plenty of privacy, Tolcarne Beach Village is set to make even the happiest of couples fall in love all over again.
Nestled in the Newquay Bay, our accommodation options are quiet, peaceful and utterly charming. What more does a romantic getaway need?
Although, we’re here to always go above and beyond, so this article is designed to make planning your trip as easy as possible! In three simple steps, you’ll be on track for the holiday of your dreams…
1) Choose Your Room!
This one seems an obvious first step, right?
But with so much to choose from, deciding exactly what kind of room to stay in can be tricky.
Our best-seller for romantic breaks – and by far the most luxurious choice – is the ocean suite. Not only do these modern and spacious suites come with a private beach garden, but some are even equipped with sea-view hot tubs! For the ultimate romantic gesture, why not surprise your partner with a room service meal and bottle of bubbly?
Watch day slowly turn into night as you sip away and enjoy the views.
Or, for a slightly cosier option, our Beach Houses and Cabins are another hit amongst lovebirds. These beautiful rooms have a rustic charm and come in a variety of sizes, with one thing guaranteed: gorgeous sea views with the beach just steps from your door.
Step 2: Book Your Meals
There’s no bigger romantic buzzkill than indecision over where to eat!
We’ve all been there: neither of you mind and neither of you can decide, meanwhile you both get hungrier (and grumpier!)
Skip that part of the trip by pre-planning your meals in advance. At Tolcarne, we’ve made this easier than ever. Our on-site restaurant, the Colonial, is serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner every single day.
With a gorgeous seafront location and incredibly varied menu, you could eat here 3 meals a day, 7 days a week and still not get bored (not that we’re biased, of course…).
Popular choices from the Colonial’s all-new menu include locally-sourced lobster cooked in garlic butter, as well as 10z sirloin steak served with confit garlic mushroom and grilled vine tomatoes. And since it’s a holiday, why not indulge in some cocktails too? From margaritas, to mojitos, to piña coladas, we’ve got you covered.
Step 3: Plan Some Outings
While you absolutely could spend your entire trip snuggled in our little sanctuary, Newquay has plenty to do and see, particularly for lovebirds like you!
Fall in love with the Cornish charm of the town and allow yourself to enjoy the quaint coffee shops, independent gift stores and delicious pasty options. Or, take a stroll by the coastline and spend the day talking, exploring and soaking up the great outdoors.
