3. Catch the Cornish Waves

In case you didn’t know, Newquay is actually the UK’s surf capital – and for good reason.

Our beaches are perfect for beginners and pro surfers alike – with quieter locations for learners and incredible spots that create some serious surf, like ‘the Cribbar’ off of Fistral Beach, which has been noted by some pros as ‘death-defying’ and an ‘evil beast’. (BBC News, 29 April 2021).

If you’re interested in catching some Cornish waves, there are plenty of brilliant places for Surf Hire all across Newquay.

Whether you’re a seasoned surfer or a total beginner – a day riding the waves can make for the perfect holiday experience.

4. Follow a Beach Trail

If you’d rather spend your days with something a little slower than surfing, Newquay has plenty of stunning coastal walks and trails to follow.

Breathtaking views come in abundance in Newquay, so grab your walking shoes, get exploring and reconnect with nature.
